Via an anonymous PD, here is a transcript of some truly atrocious lawyering by a public defender in Virginia. Read it for yourself.

Yow. Thanks, Gid.
This is as bad as I’ve seen it. Kudos to the prosecutor for recognizing the problem and taking a stand.
The PD’s protests at the characterization by the prosecutor made me roll my eyes.
Yup. Not all prosecutors are scum.
Let’s not get carried away.
That was painful to read.
Good thing it was just a murder trial and not anything important. Geez.
Ouch. You’re hurting this appellate lawyers delicate sensibilities (not).
Actually, seriously Gid and peers, I’m collecting transcript snippets (or whole transcripts) that are examples of good objection/argument at trial, mostly over evidentiary questions, for my law school class. If you have any such material, please DM me on twitter (trabernlaw) or submit through by page.
