(Disturbing) Video Wednesday
Here are two videos, on different ends of the spectrum, both equally disturbing in their own right.
First, from Meriden, CT, a brutal beating by a cop caught on tape. I mean, it’s really brutal.

Second, from Capitol Hill, Rep. Barney Frank makes a bizarre statement:

Norm Pattis has a rather interesting post about a cop. I suspect it’s the same cop.

I think it is. In fact, if you click on the link to the story and watch the video there, Norm is on camera toward the end making some sort of comment, which I found to be slightly offensive.

“I wouldn’t say that was a step back. I would say that was an inability to take a step forward.”
Reminds me of the manager of Spinal Tap, “No, I’d say their appeal is becoming … more selective.”

Don’t resist arrest, and don’t make cops have to chase you, and maybe you won’t have these problems.

You have got to be kidding! Nothing gives a police officer the right to violate the public trust. It’s a pitiful abuse of power.
