		<description>I think you're a little harsh on the "rookie".  She probably didn't feel like going to jail for contempt.

Here's an interesting question, what if the acquitted defendant told the judge "No, you have no right to do this, and then resisted the inevitable arrest?"  What would you think of a prosecution that prosecuted that person?</description>
