Yeah, people have to show up for court, etc. But this guy got a lot of time for showing up at most a few hours late. The justice system sure didn't look all that good here. I would not have done the same thing, were I the judge. I probably would have held him for a week, letting him sweat, and then respected his original plea bargain.
