Geez, if I drank every time I thought I “needed” to, I’d be drinking all day. Not that there aren’t times when I do.

I pray a lot. I walk a lot. I look at my kids and remember that I am the example for how they are going to live their lives. And I never drink when I think I “need” to.

But for work and clients and such, I don’t take anything seriously. My fiance, a substance abuse counselor, is the same way. That’s why we get along.

Oh, and I sing a lot. Very poorly. VERY poorly.

I listen to classical music, I drink adult beverages, I rant, I rave, I yell, I scream, I laugh at the utter absurdity of it all, I watch college football, I watch baseball, and times in utter despair and hopelessness, I pray and I try to believe in the better angels of our nature.
