Good news for PDs. Bad news for taxpayers, who will effectively be paying every young prosecutor an additional $10,000 (tax-free) to put people in prison. Since there are more prosecutors than defenders, I’m calling this one a net loss for society and a net win for the prison-industrial complex and the war on ~~brown people~~ drugs.
