I like that theme and have enjoyed tweaking it in the past. Generally, unless I'm posting a comment, I read in an RSS reader. If you put my feet to the fire and forced me to choose, I'd probably choose the new one with a few minor tweaks to how sidebar items/icons line up...It seems a bit more spacious.
